Friendly, efficient service has, and always will be TC Harrison's central belief. TC Harrison was founded in 1931 by Thomas 'Cuth' Harrison whose vision was to create a welcoming experience for customers that reflected the traditional values he held. The TC Harrison business was established on 18th May 1931 at 17 Abbeydale Road, Sheffield and was known as TC Harrison Service and Repair. It was run by the 25-year-old Cuth and a young helper, Henry Cadman.
This is still upheld by the Harrison family, who own and run the company to this day. The business has been passed down for 3 generations; Cuth's two sons John and Edward took over from him, which was subsequently passed down to John's two sons; James and Jonathan, as well as Edward's son; William. Together they run the business with the same ideals and values Cuth put into place over 85 years ago. Looking towards the future, the 4th generation of Harrisons are already working their way up the business, ready to keep the tradition intact.

Since being founded in 1931, the TC Harrison Group has built up an excellent reputation for friendly and efficient service. The company has always been run within the Harrison family, and that tradition will continue with the 4th generation, who are already working within the business today.
The country was going through the worst depression in living memory; in Sheffield there were thousands unemployed and it was certainly not the ideal time to start a new business. A few weeks earlier, Autoways, the main Ford dealer had to close down due to very difficult trading conditions, but Thomas Cuthbert Harrison was undeterred.
With the help of Henry Cadman, a young man who had just left school, he began the task of cleaning the place and trying to make it look like a workshop. In the first few days customers did call in because TCH was quite well known by local business people. Any spare parts had to be obtained from Brook Shaws in Norfolk Street, then the main Ford dealer. Every time a part was required, Henry would go on the shop bicycle and collect them, whilst TCH carried out the jobs.
Since being founded in 1931, TC Harrison Group Limited has grown into one of the largest privately owned motor groups in the country and is still based on traditional family values. It has always been managed within the Harrison family, now coming into its fourth generation within the business.
