Eligibility

Ford Dealership employees are entitled to D Plan as a current employee of the Ford Dealership after continuous employment with the same Ford dealership for a minimum of 6 months (Contract / Agency / temporary staff are not eligible).

Group employees are entitled to D Plan as a current employee of a Group of the Ford Dealership. The group employee must have been employed by the Group for a minimum of 6 months.

The Ford Dealer employee or group employee may nominate a qualifying relative to benefit from the D Plan support. Qualifying relatives are defined as people who have the following relationship with the Ford Dealer employee as follows:

  • Spouse or partner (proof will be required if not married)
  • Father/ Step father, Mother/Step mother, father in law, mother in law,
  • Grandfather, Grandmother, Uncles, Aunts
  • Brother, Sister, including Half, Step and in-law brother / sister
  • Nephews, Nieces
  • Sons, Daughters, including Step and in-law
  • Grandsons, Granddaughters

Terms and conditions

The vehicle must be for the primary use of the eligible purchaser and they must pay for the vehicle personally. Any credit purchase must be in the purchaser's name (in some cases a guarantor may be necessary). The vehicle must be registered at the home address of the purchaser. D Plan cannot be used for Business purchases.

Eligible employees are entitled to five D Plan entitlements per year (rolling 12 months) unless otherwise notified.

The registered owner must retain any vehicle purchased on D Plan for a minimum of 9 months.

If the sale is to a relative, a document confirming that relationships exist between the Ford Dealer employee and the vehicle purchaser must be provided prior to registration and delivery. (e.g. Full birth certificate (showing parents’ names) / marriage certificate (where applicable). "Common-Law" spouses or same sex partners of eligible Ford Dealer employees are also eligible for D Plan, but the Dealer Principal must be satisfied that a genuine relationship exists. This will require holding on file a copy of 2 utility, bank or mortgage documents, in joint names, as proof of financial commitment and of co-habitation for a minimum of 6 months. All such requests will need authorisation from the Chief Executive Officer.

When applying for a D Plan entitlement, the eligible purchaser should present a full UK Driving license which confirms both the name and address, which are to be the same as those used on the invoice, credit agreement (if required) and registered keeper on AFRL.

A minimum period of 2 clear working days is required to process D Plan applications. A deposit of £100 will be required to reserve any vehicle prior to registration.
