Following the release of the brand new Ford Focus on 10th April, there has been a lot of speculation about whether there will be a new Ford Focus ST to go along with the new, more angular model. The Ford Focus range of hot hatches is much-loved among car enthusiasts and speed-lovers, so it’s safe to say we’re all looking forward to finding out whether there will be an ST and RS edition of the new Focus.
The good news for ST-lovers is that we’ve heard rumours that a brand new Ford Focus ST has been spotted undergoing tests and assessments at the Nurburgring, the famed motorsport track in Germany.
The new Ford was in disguise under wraps but we are assuming that it is the new Focus ST due to its sportier body kit and big alloy wheels. Although we know little more about the model so far, we’re hoping that it is paired with a 1.5-litre EcoBoost petrol engine, which is the biggest and most powerful petrol engine in the line-up. Of course, being a new Ford, fuel economy is high on the list of priorities too.
