Ford has closed out 2019 with the announcement that the
Fiesta has
topped the UK vehicle sales charts for the 11th successive year running, with the
Transit Custom finishing the year as the
UK's No.3 best-selling vehicle.
Overall, Ford has maintained its position as the
UK's No.1 brand in both passenger and commercial vehicle sales which marks the 43rd year of new passenger car sales leadership and an impressive
54th consecutive year of leading the commercial vehicle sales market in the UK.
The Fiesta, once again, is the
UK's top-selling vehicle - a position the car has held for the past 11 years. Ford has sold 1,233,485 Fiestas in the country since 2009.
The Ford
Transit and
Tourneo Custom van sales combined to equate to the UK's third best selling vehicle, with sales totalling 57,494 in 2019.
It was also an impressive year for models of the
EcoSport and the
Ranger - the former completing the best-ever year for sales of the Ecosport in the UK, making it the UK's best-selling Sub-JS sports utility vehicle - and the latter securing the
International Pick-Up Award for 2020 and remaining the UK's top-selling pick-up.
With the range of
electrified all-new vehicles including the
PHEV Kuga, Puma and all-electric Mustang Mach-E set to join Ford's ranks in 2020, we look forward to welcoming in a new award-winning year...
