What is the Ford Hands-Free Tailgate?

The hands-free tailgate from Ford is a clever technology that allows you to open and close the rear hatch while your hands are full, which is perfect when you've got loads of bags to put in the boot.

How does it work?

To activate the Ford hands-free tailgate simply use a kicking motion with your foot beneath the rear bumper. The key must be detected by the car to avoid unintentional opening. To close the tailgate, simply kick again.

The hands-free tailgate is only available on the new Ford Kuga, get yours at any TC Harrison Ford dealership.

A powerlift tailgate, which opens at the touch of a button, is also available on the new Ford S-MAXFord C-MAX and Ford Grand C-MAX.
