Engine options and fuel consumption
The Ford Focus is available with diesel and petrol engines in various sizes from 1.0L to 2.3L.
The standard fuel consumption for the Zetec Edition is 51.4MPG. The car is also available as a mild hybrid version with fuel consumption of between 51.4 to 56.5MPG, offering great fuel economy.
You can find out more about the fuel consumption for both petrol and diesel Ford Focus models in our guides.
Similarly efficient and adaptable, the Hyundai Kona has a fuel consumption level of 44-56MPG combined for the petrol version, with similar levels of consumption for its hybrid model.
Only available in a 1.0L petrol engine, it may lack some power compared to the larger engine sizes that can be purchased in the Ford Focus. For more power, the hybrid model pairs a 1.6L petrol engine with an electric motor to deliver a combination of power and efficiency.
Costs
The Ford Focus is available from a starting price of £22,215 on the road, with prices increasing as the specs and modifications also increase. At TC Harrison, we offer a range of finance offers on our full range of new and used Ford Focus models, so please contact your local dealer today to find out more.
The Hyundai Kona starts at £21,265 on the road, which is marginally cheaper than the Ford Focus. Slightly more expensive, the hybrid version starts at £23,955, with the Kona Electric available from £27, 950.
The two cars both offer many benefits, especially with the range of optional accessories available.
