Focus Titanium Ecoblue Auto 5 door

This version of the Ecoblue falls into a slightly lower insurance group than the manual version. Also with a 1.5-litre diesel engine, it comes with all of the default features you’d expect from the Titanium range including LED lights and silver finish alloys.

Focus Titanium 1.5 Ecoboost 5 door

Focus Titanium 1.5 Ecoboost Auto 5 door

Much like the manual version, this model is more costly insurance-wise due to engine capacity, while still sporting popular features such as automatic headlights and ambient LEDs.

Focus Titanium 2.0 Ecoblue 5 door

As you expect for a 2-litre diesel engine, this model is on the powerful side; hence the additional cost. However, those key features remain including high-quality temperature control.

Focus Titanium 2.0 Ecoblue Auto 5 door

Similarly to the manual version, the automatic version of the 2.0 Ecoblue has a larger diesel engine, which accounts for the increase in price over the standard Ecoblue model when it comes to vehicle insurance.

Focus Titanium X Edition

With a range of different models underneath the Titanium X umbrella the insurance group ranges. With a sportier style and rear privacy glass, plus more digital technology, the Titanium X range is available with both petrol and diesel engines, from a modest 1.0 litre engine through to a powerful 2.0-litre diesel engine.

What do car insurance groups mean?

Insurance groups provide valuable information on the approximate pricing of car insurance for a particular model of car. While the actual cost of car insurance for a vehicle can vary, the insurance group is a great starting point for understanding what you may end up paying at a glance.
The Ford Focus Titanium car range is one of the higher-cost models within the Ford Focus model range so it’s not a surprise that many of their models are in the mid to high range.
While there are other models from Ford that are very high in cost, there are also options that are cheaper too. The Titanium range certainly isn’t made up of starter vehicles, but they’re comfortable and practical options as mid-range hatchbacks.

What other factors can affect the insurance costs of a Ford Titanium?

Aside from the factors taken into considered for insurance groups, there are other factors that can impact on the overall cost of your insurance. Whilst the cars fall into a certain insurance group which will give you an indication of the cost of insurance, costs can vary within each insurance group depending on a number of factors.

New or used

Whether your car is new or used can play a large role in the overall insurance costs of a Ford Titanium car – as they would with any other vehicle. The age of the car and its condition will factor into the overall cost of your insurance.

Engine capacity

The capacity and type of engine can also affect the cost of your insurance, especially if the engine is larger. The model of the car and the value of the vehicle overall is also a factor to consider.
Location & driving history
Your location, where the vehicle will be stored overnight, your credit history and your no claims discount will have an impact. If you live in a safe area and have ten years no claims discount, your insurance will be far cheaper than if you live in a high-risk area and have points on your license for speeding.

How do insurance costs for the Ford Focus Titanium compare to other Focus models?

In comparison to other models such as the Ford Focus Zetec and ST-Line, the Ford Focus Titanium is at the higher end of the cost scale. However, it’s not as costly as the ST range so, if you’re looking for a Ford Focus that’s on the higher end of the scale without being too costly, a Ford Focus Titanium model may be the option for you.
