All-Electric Ford Mustang Mach-E

mach-e

The first ever Electric Mustang

The Ford Mustang Mach-E is a natural evolution of the world-famous Pony Car brought bang up-to-date to meet demand, in a world where electric vehicles and SUVs are set to be the future of passenger transport.

The design is distinctly Mustang, with only Mustang logos featured on the model. It features several homages to the current-generation Mustang, with the distinctive three cluster lights, the unmistakable Mustang logo front and centre in the grill and an inspired by Mustang front headlight cluster. One of the stand-out design elements is the lack of door handles. The Ford Mustang Mach-E features smart connectivity where your phone can be paired to the car and as you approach the door automatically opens a small amount to gain entry.

Phone battery flat? No problem, there's a pin pad on the B-pillar to gain access, which can then be re-entered on the centre console to start the car in earnest.

The main screen is a brand new ground up build of Sync which is (geek alert) coded in HTML5, meaning Ford can update system functionality and intregration with other apps much more easily. Want the screen to run Waze, Spotify and Ford Nav at once? No problem! The system even learns over time so will only show you the controls it knows you need and use the most... neat, in more ways than one.

The first ever all-electric Mustang

The Ford Mustang Mach-E is an all-electric sports SUV that delivers a maximum electric driving range of up to 279 - 372 miles*. With several clever aerodynamic elements on the car, the most prominent are the adjustable cooling flaps in the front lower grille and a deliberately square rear, to keep the air engaged with the body of the car as long as possible, thus reducing drag and increasing overall range.

An all-electric Mustang Mach-E GT is here...

The Ford Mustang Mach-E GT takes an uprated powertrain to considerably improve performance over the First and Standard Edition Mach-E. Boasting an electrifying 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds it eclipses some of its main rivals in the electric field. Whilst bold 20" alloys and an eclectic range of colours including Cyber Orange and Grabber Blue, truly make this the most eye-catching all-electric vehicle around.

Does electric power fit the Mustang badge?

Absolutely! In terms of power, all the launch models get a top speed of 111mph with the Mustang Mach-E RWD getting 254bhp and the First Edition getting an impressive 335bhp and 426lbs of torque. The First Edition also gets the bigger 99kWh battery and an extended range of 335 miles.

The launch models come in seven different exterior colours: Rapid Red, Star White, Infinite Blue, Carbonised Grey, Absolute Black, Iconic Silver and the very interesting Space White (very similar to the Silver Fox colour on the FIesta ST). However, the First Edition will be limited to either Rapid Red or Carbonised Grey, with the added bonus of being available in the unbelievably cool Grabber Blue.

The Mach-E features 'Next Generation Sync', Premium B&O audio, Ford Co-Pilot 360, Pre-collision Assist, Intelligent Adapative Cruise Control, Full Active Park Assist, 360 degree cameras and the trusty Ford Quickclear windscreen.

Revolutionary Interior Design on the Mach-E

Inside the car is completely different from any current Ford production model and moves away from the well-loved SYNC-3 platform to make way for a 15.5" centrally mounted portrait touchscreen, featuring SYNC-4. There is also a distinct lack of physical buttons, with only a few featured on the steering wheel. Driver information is split between the central screen and a smaller 10.2" display with the classic 'Ground Speed' Mustang speedo.

What infotainment comes with the Mach-E?

Making its debut in the Mustang Mach-E is the next-generation SYNC® communications and entertainment system, a sleek and modern interface that uses machine learning to quickly learn drivers’ preferences and gets even better over time, thanks to advanced over-the-air updates. Next-generation SYNC’s 15.5-inch screen and simple interface ditches complicated menus, making it easier to access features with touch, swipe and pinch controls that every smartphone owner will be comfortable using.

Discover the Future of Driving

Reach your destination more relaxed than ever before with Ford BlueCruise. This is a revolutionary new feature avaliable on new Mach-Es which allows drivers to experience hands-free driving on pre-selected stretches of motorways in the United Kingdom.

The highly advanced system works by using sensors, cameras and radar technology to steadily monitor the road and surrounding traffic, allowing the Mustang Mach-E to accelerate, brake and steer within its lane on the motorway. The driver of the vehicle is still responsible for paying full attention to the road and being ready to take over control if necessary.
