Enhanced Performance
The same powerful Mustang performance but with even more oomph, the Bullitt packs an additional nine bhp over the standard V8 Petrol, as well as a unique exhaust tune that mimics the noise of the classic soundtrack from the 1960s original.
(For those who don't know, the sound in the film was actually from a GT40 engine and not a Mustang, so the new Bullitt is suitably 'Throaty')
Ford techs have also used an 'induction tube' to pipe the noise directly into the cabin so you get the full menacing detail. Although it does come with a 'Quiet' setting to help calm your neighbours.
There's also a manaual gearbox, with white 'cue ball' shifter. Again a throwback to the original Bullitt car.
A Bullitt Through and Through
The Bullitt comes in only two colours; Highland Green, a nod to the Steve McQueen original and Shadow Black.
Other features include the removal of all Mustang branding, the rear of the car and steering wheel feature 'BULLITT' monikers and the Mustang badge has been removed from the front grill and seats, to be replaced by 'Recaro' in matching Highland Green stitching.
The customisation doesn’t end there though, there are new alloy wheel too, specially designed 19” forged aluminium wheels in black that hark back to the original design. These sit on top of bright red brake calipers that hide uprated big brakes all round.
