Semi-Conductor Shortage and what your options are

You are probably aware that there is a global shortage of semiconductors affecting the production of all makes of new vehicles, including Ford, and is likely to continue for the remainder of 2021. In turn this is having a knock-on effect for the used car market (shorter supply, increase in prices) which is great if you’re selling but not so much if you’re buying.

It’s true that as a Ford franchise dealer we have had to extend the usual delivery times on brand new car orders, as across the group we are low on stock. Though with our exceptional 90 years relationship with Ford, we are managing to secure as many Ford new vehicle production slots as we can for the coming months, including factory fresh stock for the new 71 plate due in a matter of weeks.

For you, a customer of TC Harrison, this means you are positioned well to achieve not just a great deal on your part-exchange, but also to take the opportunity to design and build your brand-new Ford, your way. As an example, if you have your eyes on the award-winning Ford Puma you can choose your ideal model from Titanium right up to the luxury Vignale or sporty ST. Then, add extras such as panoramic roof, Handsfree power tailgate or even upgrade to 19” Alloys. It’s your car, designed your way!

Alternatively, our Sales Department will be more than happy to sit down and have a personal one-to-one meeting with you where they can explore all the pre-order options of incoming stock and help you make an informed decision.

If you are looking to upgrade your car or van, now really is the best time with the increase in price you will achieve for your current vehicle and also the access to in-coming new 71 plate stock at TC Harrison Ford.

If you would like to discuss your new car options with us you can do so by calling to arrange a one-to-one meeting, speaking to us on our Live Chat facility or by emailing your local TC Harrison Ford.
