Mustang Mach 1 sets the bar for performance

It’s been said that if you don’t turn back and glance lovingly at your car as you walk away, you bought the wrong car. Well, with the all-new Mustang Mach 1 you’ll be caught more than glancing.

Setting an almost unreachable bar for performance, this limited edition sports car is officially the most powerful and track capable member of the Ford Mustang line-up in Europe. Beholding a formidable performance arsenal, including the Mach 1’s 5.0-litre V8 engine, which delivers a colossal 460 PS at 7,500 rpm and 569 Nm of torque.

Greater downforce than the GT

A vehicle as aggressive as the Mach 1 requires unrivalled downforce sculpted by never-seen-before aerodynamics on the Mustang. These are then elevated even further with a Handling package which takes the 22% more downforce over the GT to a staggering 150% more downforce.

All of which sits under the unmistakable and stunning exterior. Truly designed for performance, the aerodynamics continue with a front splitter and new front grille which deliver improved airflow for maximum cooling. A commanding appearance is complete with a range of available colours, including the Mach 1 exclusive Fighter Jet Grey.

The Devilish Mustang Mach 1 Interior

On opening the door, there’s comfort and style crafted throughout to mirror the performance experienced when you take control of the wheel. Premium leather sports seats are complemented with signature Mach 1 accent stripes whilst a unique dark-effect instrument panel with bright-finish accents offer a slick appearance down to the gear stick which features a white cue ball style gearshift knob.

The Mustang built for the track and general of the road

If you thought the Mustang was a general of the road, wait until you take it to the track. A range of hand-selected performance upgrades, carefully attained from the Bullitt, GT Performance Package, GT350, and GT500 allow this Ford to truly be at home on the track. A brake booster provides faster braking response whilst additional engine oil, transmission oil and rear axle coolers enable extended track sessions with limited performance. Then an upgraded air induction system improves the air flow and 4.5” quad tip exhausts enhances sound quality. Finally, a Track Mode fine-tunes the car’s performance for optimal racing conditions, by modifying engine mapping, throttle and steering response as well as traction and stability control settings.

Who needs the fireworks of bonfire night, with news as explosive as this. The Ford Mustang Mach 1 will be able to order early next year, with first delivery anticipated in Spring.
