The brand new 2019
Ford Focus ST is set to be launched next year and rumours have already started circulating that alongside the six-speed manual gearbox there'll also be an automatic option too.
An ST-Version of the All-New Ford Focus is due next summer before a brand new hybrid RS model is set to appear within the next few years. The announcement of an ST-badged focus continues the 16-year tradition that was first introduced in 2002 with the ST version of the very first Ford Focus.
The new ST's power is likely to be similar to the output of the latest
EcoBoost powered four-cylinder
Mustang, estimated to have about 286bhp under the bonnet.
As with every ST version, the new Focus will come fully equipped with sports seats, ST branded steering wheel and the same body kit as the ST-Line Focus that's already on the market. Externally the car will sport a honeycomb lower grille, ST badging at the front, Y-spoke alloy wheels and duel-exit exhausts at the rear.
