Having a courtesy car?

From 8th June 2015, the way we check your driving licence changed. The paper counterpart has been abolished, and you will need an access code in order for you to have a courtesy car.

Please follow the instructions below to gain your access code.

  • Go to https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/driver-and-vehicle-licensing-agency
  • Click on View Your Driving Licence Information
  • Click Start Now
  • Enter the Driving Licence Number, National Insurance Number and Postcode that is on your driving licence, tick the box and click View Now
  • Your details will now appear
  • On the top right of the webpage, click Share Your Licence Information
  • Click on Create Code
  • Your unique access code will now appear. (Please be aware that the code is case-sensitive, can only be used once and will only last 21 days)
  • You will need to bring in your driving licence and the access code on the day. If you only have the old style driving licence, we would need to see some photographic identification.

If you don't have access to the internet, you can gain the code using the phone. The number to call is 0300 790 6801, option 1, then option 4, and then option 3.

If you have booked a collection and delivery, we will be collecting your vehicle between the hours of 8.30am and 11.30am and will endeavour to deliver it back to you by 17.30pm the same day.
