The Future Generation of Mustang Fans

27 January 2020

The Future Generation of Mustang Fans You might have been worried that millennials weren't carrying on the traditions of car enthusiasts and Ford fans, but don't worry! Meet 21-year-old Bradley Belcher from Indiana who not only is a hardcore Mustang dan, but he began restoring this 1965 Ford Mustang when he was just 13!

Bradley launched the 'Millennial Mustang Registry' in order to bring together young mustang owners and was voted the 'fan favourite' in 2019's SEMA 'Battle of the Builders Young Guns' that places a spotlight on car builders under the age of 27.

it's pretty easy to trace Bradley's enthusiasm for Mustangs, his father bought a Mustang Pedal car before Bradley was even born! Bradley and his father had many rides in their 1969 Mustang and attended many car shows together!

Bradley made a deal that his father would buy him a Mustang as long as they could restore it together, as long as Bradley did as much work as possible! It proved to be an amazing learning experience for Bradley and the perfect time to bond as father and son.

The Fastback was completed within a year. “I remember it like it was yesterday,” Bradley said. “My Mustang made its public debut at a little car show in Wabash, Indiana. I loved seeing the reaction of people who were amazed to hear that it was mine, and not my dad’s car. And that I actually did a lot of the work on it.”

The pair attended more car shows and won many awards and trophies. Bradley is now studying to become an athletic trainer at Indiana Wesleyan University but continues to maintain the Millennial Mustang Registry and “unite millennials who have a passion for their Mustang, to make new acquaintances and to share the joy that Mustang brings to our lives.”
