The 'Tour de TCH' Recap

07 June 2018

The

After four long days on the road, the ‘Tour de TCH’ came to an end at TCH Derby yesterday (6th June 2018), after setting off from the TCH JCB Head Office in Chapeltown.

Deputy Chairman and grandson of our founder William Harrison, his wife Claire Harrison, and members of the Senior Management Team cycled in aid of the British Heart Foundation, a charity that is very close to our hearts at T.C. Harrison. The team did an incredible job, cycling 275 miles between each TCH location, and have managed to raise over £5,000 for BHF. The JustGiving page is still open if you’d like to do your bit to help this worthy cause.

The most gruelling stage of the journey was the ride from TCH Stamford to TCH Burton, which was a 60 mile-stretch. On the same day, the team also encountered their first puncture, having managed to make it over 200 miles without one. Luckily, it was the last day of the ride and ended up with celebrations at the Derby dealership for both the end of the 'Tour de TCH' and to celebrate William's 50th birthday.

A huge congratulations and thank you to everyone who took part, including William Harrison, Claire Harrison, Joel Harrison and Tony Coar who took part in the entire 275-mile ride, and the Southern Pros Chris Cornell, Mark Nelson, Billy Fitch, Jeff Rich, Greg Mills and Ian Nicolle, who rode the majority of the journey.

A special thank you to everyone who joined the hard core riders for the stretch between TCH Huntingdon and TCH St Neots, and the cyclists who rode alongside the team from TCH Burton to TCH Derby.
