The whole new Ford van lineup was unveiled at the CV Show this week, including the new Ford Transit Custom, the new Transit and Tourneo range, the first ever hybrid Transit Custom, and some extra surprises.
We’ve been looking forward to the CV Show 2018 for some time, highly anticipating the launch of the new Ford Transit Custom which was unveiled in our dealerships today along with the remodelled Transit and Tourneo range. A great excitement came on the first day, however, when Ford launched the brand new Fiesta Van, which they have brought back due to high customer demand.
So, it is with great pleasure that we’d like to welcome the stylish, compact, and economical Fiesta Van back into the Ford commercial vehicle family. Powered by a choice of a 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine, or 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine, the Fiesta Van is more efficient than ever before. Plus, it has been styled in line with the new Fiesta design, making it better looking too.
The cabin space provides almost 1.3 metres of load length and a gross payload of around 500kg, with an attractive interior, trimmed with hard-wearing materials for all the loading and unloading of products and materials. It includes the latest technologies, including Ford SYNC3, Pre-Collision Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Information System, and Active Park Assist.
More exciting news is that the Fiesta Van and the new Transit Connect will be the first two Ford commercial vehicles ever to offer FordPass Connect, which will enhance productivity and convenience on the road. Take a look at the Transit Connect taking pride of place in our dealerships:
The brand new Transit Connect is designed for reliability and functionality, with a more powerful and fuel efficient engine than ever before. Inside, you'll find a generous load space and a comfortable, car-like driver cabin that will make you feel at home on the road. As well as this, there is a whole host of driver technologies, including Ford's SYNC3 system, intelligent speed assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, blind spot assistance, reverse and parking sensors, and side wind stabilisation. In fact, the whole Tourneo and Transit line-up has been redesigned and unveiled in this style, with super efficient EcoBoost and EcoBlue engines.
If you’re heading to the CV Show, you’ll get to see the whole new van line-up, including the Transit Connect and Fiesta Van, and the Transit PHEV which is currently on trial in London. Ford have an Elephant in the Transit Van to promote the importance of helping with mental health, and will be showcasing the Last Mile Delivery, a multi-modal transportation system.
