Building on the outstanding success of the existing Ford ST brand, we are excited to announce that Ford are now producing a new cross carline series strategy for Europe. Known as the Ford ST-Line, the series offers a Ford Performance-inspired take on more regular everyday hatchbacks.
The ST-Line replaces the outgoing Ford Fiesta and Focus Zetec S Series and also enhances other new models from the Ford car range such as the Ford Mondeo and new Ford Kuga.
Utilising sporty design cues from the successful ST performance derivatives, Ford has created the new ST-Line to satisfy customer demand for sporty looking vehicles with practical and affordable performance. The new Fiesta ST-Line and Focus ST‑Line are designed for customers who aspire to the sporty image of the Ford’s ST models – but do not require the full performance delivered by optimised ST engines and chassis with sports technologies.
The new Ford Mondeo ST-Line adds another dimension to the broad Ford Mondeo line-upthat offers options from the fuel-efficient Mondeo ECOnetic and Mondeo Hybrid models, to the exclusive and upscale Ford Mondeo Vignale.
Also announced is the all-new Ford Kuga ST-Line which is available at your local TCH dealership starting from £25,845.
The new Fiesta ST-Line including Red and Black Editions are available priced from £15,645 and the larger Focus ST‑Line from £20,595 with a choice of EcoBoost petrol and TDCi diesel powertrains. New Ford ST-Line Sports Styling
The new Ford Fiesta ST-Line available in both 3-door and 5-door bodystyles, is a sporty new addition to the UK’s best-selling car. The 5-door and estate version Ford Focus ST-Linemodels, further enhance the appeal of the popular family car. The new Mondeo ST-Line is Fords sportiest Mondeo since they introduced the Mondeo ST220 model back in 2002, and the new Ford Kuga ST-Line further enhances the styling of the standard all-new Ford Kuga model.
In a nutshell, ST-Line styling includes a honeycomb design for the trapezoidal front grille, dark surrounds for the fog lamps, and either a front bumper lip or a bumper insert depending ont he model chosen. Other external features include a rear diffuser element and large rear roof spoiler, a black beltline under the windows, deep side-skirts and ST-Line dexterity badging on the front wings. The Kuga ST-Line also benefits from Ebony Black roof rails. As for the wheels, they measure 17" for the Fiesta and Focus or 18" or 19" for the Mondeo and Kuga and feature unique designs such as Rock Metallic Grey paint options for the Fiesta, Focus and Mondeo or a bright machined surface and gloss Ebony Black wheels for the new Ford Kuga ST-Line. The ST-Line Red & Black Fiesta and Focus editions also benefit from the same interior and exterior enhancements as the rest of the range but retain their unique 17’’ black alloy wheels and additional red or black styling.
Inside, there are sports seats throughout the new Ford ST-Line range with red stitching and a perforated leather ST-style flat-bottom steering wheel. The ST-style gear knob, dark woven headliner and ST-Line scuff plates complete the package. The Kuga ST-Line also includes unique partial leather seats, lever gaiter and steering wheel, as well as special twin layer metallic effect 'Deep Space' paint finish on the centre console.
New Ford ST-Line Powerful and Fuel Efficient Engines
In terms of performance, all the new Ford ST-Line models sit closer to the road by 10mm thanks to new sport suspension as standard, and come with thicker anti-roll bars.
Ford Fiesta ST-Line engines include the multi award winning 100PS, 125PS or 140PS 1.0-liter EcoBoost petrol units - all with less than 104g/km CO2 emissions, up to 65.7mpg fuel efficiency and 5-speed manual transmission, plus the 95PS 1.5-liter TDCi diesel delivering 94kg/km CO2 and 78.5mpg.
Ford Focus ST-Line customers will be able to choose between the six-speed 125PS 1.0-liter EcoBoost, delivering 108g/km CO2 and 78.5mp, and the 150PS or 182PS 1.5-liter EcoBoost offering from 127g/km CO2. Ford’s 1.5 or 2.0-litre TDCi diesel powertrains are also available. The Focus 1.5 TDCi produces 120PS with 99g/km CO2 and 74.3mpg; or the 2.0-litre TDCi with 150PS delivering from 105g/km CO2 and 70.6mpg. Furthermore, Focus ST-Line models will come with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters as long as the optional automatic transmission is also purchased.
The Ford Mondeo ST-Line is available only with the higher-power engine derivatives that complement the enhanced driving dynamics delivered by sport suspension. For example, the diesel engine options include the 150PS 2.0-litre TDCi with six-speed manual or six-speed PowerShift automatic transmission offering from 112g/km CO2 and 65.7mpg. The 180PS and 180PS 2.0-litre TDCi is also an option with six-speed manual or six-speed PowerShift automatic transmission offering from 117g/km CO2 and 62.8mpg. In addition, the Ford Mondeo ST-Line will feature steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters when Ford’s six-speed PowerShift automatic transmission is specified, and also is offered with Ford Intelligent All Wheel Drive.
The Ford Kuga ST-Line also comes with a choice of three petrol engines, including a frugal 1.5-litre diesel engine that can return 64.2mpg and a more potent turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol unit with 180hp – the latter is also available with intelligent AWD.
